Dedric Ward – Bio
Hometown: Cedar Rapids, IA (Washington HS)
College: Northern Iowa
Experience: 8 seasons in the NFL
Currently: University of Northern Iowa, Wide Receivers

Eight-year NFL veteran and University of Northern Iowa’s all-time greatest Wide Receiver, Dedric Ward returns to LWFA for his 3rd summer.  The Iowa native’s extensive playing and coaching experience makes him an outstanding instructor.  Ward recently spent two seasons as the Wide Receivers coach for the UNI Panthers. Prior to returning to UNI, Coach Ward spent one season as an assistant coach with the Kansas City Chiefs, two with Arizona Cardinals—including a trip to Super Bowl XLIII, and one with Missouri State.  Ward also enjoyed an eight-year NFL career as a Wide Receiver following his 3rd round selection in the 1997 NFL Draft by the NY Jets.  As a collegian, Dedric became a three-time All-American and Northern Iowa’s all-time greatest Wide Receiver after he rewrote the UNI and Gateway Conference record books for receiving yards (3,876) and touchdowns (41) during his career.
